m.Prolozone Therapy - Osteopaths | Physiotherapist | Nurses (OPN)

For Osteopaths, Physiotherapist and Nurses who wants to specialise in pain management, whether it is for acute or chronic symptoms, the m.Prolozone Therapy Course is essential.

Modified Prolozone Therapy (m.Prolozone Therapy) is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedures where injectables including medical grade ozone gas are placed in the superficial dermis where they diffuse.

We do not teach or educate practitioners in Classic Prolozone Therapy using intra-articular injections combined with injectables directly into the joint itself which, should be done in an appropriate setting using scanning or ultrasound guidance.

m.Prolozone Therapy is applied using specific injection techniques and can support a range of patient management outcomes. Thereby, contributing to the overall well-being of a patient to cope with pain, whether it's in the form of acute or chronic symptoms. The net result improves the quality of life and the psychological impact associated from chronic pain

Online Medical Ozone Theory

Focused Refresh

In this module we review several major biological pathways that interact and enable medical ozone to activate, modulate and upregulate specific pathway that involve our immune system, blood, blood circulation, antioxidant enzyme system and how some of these pathways can affect systemic pathogens. Additionally, we take a look into pathways involved in gut health and the microbiome.

Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants

Reactive Oxygen Species, Lipid Oxidative Products, Bio-messengers, Antioxidant Enzyme System and the rebalance of oxidative stress are reviewed and analysed in this module. Here we learn how a mild and transient oxidative stress can benefit the biological system.

Medical Ozone History

From the time when ozone gas was discovered to the innovators that developed the technology and use of ozone gas in medicine and dentistry. In the time-line, ozone technology, R&D and it's applications started in the USA. A change in American drug policy stopped R&D in ozone in it's tracks.

Ozone Physical & Chemical Properties | Types of Ozone Gas

The chemical and physical properties enable us to understand the qualities that ozone gas possess and why it behaves under specific condition. What are the different types of ozone gases, their functions, purity and the effect on earth and on humans.

Mechanism of Action Part 1 - 7

Here we look at the knowledge base and how ozone can influence specific mechanism of action at a cellular level. We study how ozone can destroy pathogens, the processes involved. We look at the red blood cell, immune cells and anti-oxidant enzymes play a specific role in providing the therapeutic properties ozone has on the body. How ozone naturally co-exists within an existing biochemical process of the body

Data and Graphs Part 1 - 4

We examine a range of peer review studies that support the research and clinical studies that determine the four main properties of medical ozone and it affect on biological systems.

Data | Further Research & Analysis

In this module research papers have been selected for you to download, to deepen your knowledge base. Some of these papers are focused on the interaction of medical ozone in the mitochondria, the respiratory burst, the immune system and viral interaction. Each peer review paper here can be used to cross reference and reinforce our understaning of the mechanism of action of ozone therapy and its properties on the biological system.

Indications and Applications

We look at what condition’s ozone can assist therapeutically; which applications are used to treat them, and which protocols produce an effective outcome for the client.

Methods of Application Part 1 - 3

We investigate each type of treatment application in ozone therapy. We distinguish between clinical and non-clinical treatments and how they compare to each other and what conditions and parameters each are best suited to the client.

Contra-Indications & Applications

Contra-indications are on the experience and current clinical data that indicate a risk vs therapeutic effect. There are some conditions where Ozone Therapy should not be applied. Applications that appear to have a robust therapeutic effect may have a high risk of patient safety.

Nutrition & Supplements Part 1 - 2

Nutrients are essential we using ozone therapy. How nutrient plays a vital role and how we can support the cellular function when using ozone therapy with nutrition and supplementation. We look at which types of supplement and the quality of supplements used to achieve the best results.

Medical Ozone Theory Final Exam

An exam will take place with an external auditor. The examination is done online, and can be done at your convenience, at your home or office. You have 2 hours to complete the exam and all practitioners have to obtain 70% or more to successfully pass this section of the course.

Online Medical Ozone Technical & Practical Training

Here the range of techniques are shown and discussed and how each of them can be used individually and in combinations. Each technique has a specific use and function that we tailor for patient management.

Ozone Concentrations and Volumes

- supporting applications before and after ozone injections

Review and Analysis

Here we look at some videos where we discuss the client condition and focus on the areas that require specific observation. We monitor how the client's mobility and pain. Post- treatment, we see how efficient the treatment application has been and comparing pre and post specific observations, mobility and pain.

Diagnosis and Management

Once we have made our diagnoses, we take a look at the treatment management, which injections methods used and the injection points applied.

Demonstrations

Live patient demonstrations with a range of conditions; this enables practitioners to examine, assess and interact with patients, to provide feedback and direct response to treatment. The number of demonstrations on the day are 4-8.

Live Practical Training | 2nd Day Intensive

Injections Techniques For Neck, Shoulders and Back

We take a closer look at the antonym and physiology of the Neck, Shoulder and Back.

By understanding the following areas of the fat and muscle structure, fissure tissue, blood vessels, micro-capillary system, lymphatic periphery system and the nervous system. Combine this knowledge with the Internal and External Joint structure, together with the ligaments and tendons.

Once we have a broader and in-depth understanding of the above structures and composition, we can apply each injection point and techniques with greater precision and accuracy.

Injections Techniques

5 techniques can be applied to treat the Neck, Shoulder and Back. The use of each technique depends on the specific area, the condition involved and any other additional complications.

Ozone Concentrations and Volumes

- Prolozone Therapeutic Medical Ozone Gas Range
- Common complications when ozone gas concentrations are incorrect.

Diagnosis and Management

Once we have made our diagnoses, we take a look at the treatment management, which injections methods used and the injection points applied.
Once assessed, we can determine any pre-conditional injections to aid and support treatment outcomes before applying prolozone therapy.

By completing the pre-conditional injections, we can then apply one technique or multiple techniques of prolozone therapy depending on the client’s specific needs.

The net result is an advanced and improved treatment, with better expectation and outcomes, thereby improving patient management.

Review and Analysis

Here we look at case study videos, where we discuss the client condition and focus on the areas that require specific observation and the techniques applied.
