The medical ozone theory refresher is a CPD Course and provided 3 CPD Points for qualified practitioners in the field of Ozone Therapy.
The focuses on the mechanism of action on the biological system, it’s pharmacology and peer review research data.
The course covers distinct enzymatic pathways that are up-regulated by medical ozone’s by-products which generate bio-messengers that influence specific cellular reactions in the red blood cell, immune cells, redox system and it’s effect on pathogens.
The course specifies dermal effects, systemic effects and the difference between the two systems showing some of the limitations of medical ozone, under certain conditions. Here we also address the importance of the systemic pharmacology when addressing chronic diseases.
Medical Ozone History
We look at the pioneers of Medical Ozone from the 1800’s to those that have a influence on our knowledge base today.
Ozone Chemical and Physical Properties and Types of Ozone
The chemical and physical properties enables us to understand the qualities that ozone posses and why it behave under certain condition. We then look at the different types of ozone gas, their functions, purity and the effect on earth and humans.
Mechanism of Action
Here we look at the knowledge base and how ozone can influence specific mechanism of action at a cellular level. We study how ozone can destroy pathogens, the processes involved. We look at the red blood cell, immune cells and anti-oxidant enzymes play a specific role in providing the therapeutic properties ozone has on the body. How ozone naturally co-exits within existing biochemical process of body.
Data and Graphs
Here we examine arrange of peer review studies that support the research and clinical studies that determine the 4 main properties of medical ozone.
Indications and Applications
Here we can look at what conditions ozone can assist therapeutically, which applications can be used to treatment them and protocols that produce an affective outcome for the client.
Methods of Application
Here we look at each type of treatment that can be used in ozone therapy, we distinguish between clinical and non clinical treatments and how they compare to each other and what conditions and parameters each are best suited to the client.
Contra Indications and Applications
We look at what conditions are not suitable to give medical ozone, we also review which applications are regards as suitable for client and practitioner safety.
Who Can Register
All practitioners who are registered with the Ozone Society or other Medical Ozone Professional Bodies. Those who are not registered with a medical ozone professional body, are required to provide proof of Certification, in thier chosen field..
Course Duration and Fee's
The course can be completed in one day, however the institute provides 3 months to complete the course.
The course fee's:
